Notice to Prospective Enrolments

Due to South Oakleigh College experiencing significant enrolment pressure the Department of Education & Training (DET) has capped enrolments.

The College is only able to consider enrolment for students based on the following DET guidelines:

  • Students for whom South Oakleigh College is the nearest neighbourhood school*
  • Students who reside permanently at the same address as a brother or sister attending South Oakleigh College
  • Students seeking enrolment on specific curriculum grounds
  • In a limited number of cases only, a student may be enrolled on compassionate grounds, where there are significant family or individual circumstances

Please note that evidence of permanent resident address in the South Oakleigh College neighbourhood zone is required as part of this process.

From there the College will email applicants preliminary enrolment forms to express their interest in the school. All applications will be forwarded to our admissions team who will contact you in due time. 

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones. 

Students residing in our zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address. The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

For placement in Year 7 at South Oakleigh College for commencement in 2023. Download the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Information Pack 2022-23. If you require a physical copy of the Information Pack we are more than happy to provide you a copy which may be collected from the General Office.
